America’s Road Home Supports Urban Peak

Throughout its history in the Denver/Colorado Springs area, America’s Road Home has supported a number of prominent charities in Colorado and beyond. Rick Schaden, as an avid supporter of ending family homelessness, has helped America’s Road Home play an integral role in the activities of Urban Peak, a Denver-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals in need and at-risk youth to learn the necessary skills to become self-sufficient adults. In addition to helping children and teenagers overcome real-life challenges in a supportive environment, Urban Peak fosters a sense of caring and community, which can have a tremendous impact on the development of young people.

In the field of education and employment, Urban Peak works hard to help children and teenagers achieve success in the classroom and prepare themselves for their careers. Urban Peak organizes a number of individual and small group study sessions designed to help youth complete a high school diploma or GED test. Additionally, Urban Peak’s Job Readiness Training course covers topics such as creating a cover letter and resume, job search techniques, and job retention training.
